Above the line is what we see. Below it is what the nervous system is reaching for. Follow each root to the need it feeds.
Each one below feeds a specific behavior above the line.
This is what Looking Beyond the Behavior teaches, one visual at a time.
Please see me. Please hear me. Please understand me — my behavior may be my best attempt to communicate what I need, what I feel, or what I am experiencing.
Looking Beyond the Behavior is an insightful visual experience that transforms the way we understand human behavior. Through engaging illustrations, visual frameworks, and easy-to-understand examples, it makes complex behavioral concepts simple, clear, and memorable.
Instead of focusing on behavior alone, this book uncovers the hidden patterns that often lie beneath the surface — how the nervous system, unmet needs, stress, anxiety, burnout, fear, and lived experience shape the way people think, feel, and respond.
